Arquitectos Inc. is happy to announce the Arquitectos Academic Scholarship
for Post-Secondary Education in Architectural Studies. This scholarship is in the
amount of $1,000.00. Applicant eligibility as follows:
o Applicants must be enrolled as a fulltime student in an Architecture focused
Associate’s degree or non-accredited Bachelor's degree.
o Be a student member of Arquitectos
(local chapter or online at www. arquitectosinc.org)
o Be of Hispanic or Latinx Heritage
o Applicant is not eligible if they have already applied to the
Arquitectos/AIA IL Scholarship.
These awards are offered to encourage excellence within the architectural
profession and to support architecture students who are members of Arquitectos.
Applications will be assessed by a committee made up of Arquitectos & AIA IL
using the following criteria:
o Personal Statement (50 - 100 Words Max)
o Outstanding academic performance (GPA)
o Contributions to Arquitectos (Student or Professional Chapters)
o Participation in other school organizations
o Community Involvement
o Compelling essay (500 -1,000 Words Max)
o Organization and presentation of the student’s submission

The scholarship will be awarded the week of December 12, 2022.
